SWFL Field Performance
Zone 9b–11. Full sun. High drought tolerance once established. Moderate to high salt tolerance. Fast-growing to 6–10ft as an arching shrub; can be trained to a small tree. Blooms spring through fall in SWFL with barely a break. Fine, ferny pinnate foliage contrasts beautifully with the vivid flower clusters. Dies back in a freeze but typically regrows from the roots. One of the best plants for continuous color in SWFL full-sun landscapes.
