Why Contractors Come to Gulfroot
Callistemon viminalis produces its signature vivid red bottlebrush flower clusters spring through fall in SWFL — nearly continuous bloom with the right fertilization. Its graceful weeping branch structure makes it distinctly different from other flowering trees in the landscape palette. Retail garden centers stock it constantly, but trade-focused sourcing of 25G+ specimens is harder to find online. No SWFL contractor page addresses this species at estate scale. Gulfroot sources 25G specimens from Homestead for contractor installations.
SWFL Field Performance
Zone 9a–11. Full sun. Moderate drought tolerance once established. High salt tolerance — performs well in coastal settings including near saltwater. Blooms most heavily in spring, with additional flushes through fall. Grows to 15–25ft with a graceful weeping habit. Responds well to light pruning after each bloom cycle — keeps form tight and encourages fresh flowering growth. Fast-growing in SWFL warmth.
Direct from Homestead — not through a distributor.
